In 2010, the Crete Public Library received a grant from the Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board to digitize glass plate negatives from the historical collection of the late Ray Piepenbrink.
These Glass Plate Negatives & Photographs are a window into the long history of Crete and provide us with glimpses into the past. We have tried our best to correctly identify people, places and the time period these images are from.
